What are the delivery times for your mats?

Please refer to each product page for dispatch dates. This information can be clearly found on each product page. Please note once dispatched the lead time quoted on each product page cannot be guaranteed. Do you charge for delivery on your mats?
No. We offer free UK delivery on all orders placed.


Do your mat prices include vat?

VAT is added at check-out to your total mat order.

What guarantee do you provide for your mats?
All of mats are manufactured to the highest quality standards and tested for their durability, however all our products come with a guarantee which is detailed on each product page.


How do I order mats?
Mats can be ordered online or by telephone.


Do you accept purchase order?

Alternatively, you can place an order online and fill in our online purchase order form for ease.

If a purchase order is supplied, payment is due when you the products are signed for (Unless other terms have been agreed in writing prior to delivery). Once a purchase order is received from you the customer, an order has then been placed and this will constitute a contract between Mats Nationwide and you the customer. If the order is cancelled after production has commenced you shall be responsible for payment in full. All goods remain the property of Mats Nationwide until full payment is received.


How do I pay for my mats?

We accept payment by credit card, BACS or cheque and on account for our registered customers.


Can I request a pro-forma invoice?
Yes. Payment is due prior to your order being placed.


What sizes & colours of mats are available?
We offer a wide range of stocked standard mat sizes and colours. Please refer to each product page for sizes and tolerances. We also manufacture customised mats cut to the bespoke size required and shaped mats. Please see below for further information.


Can I order customised mat sizes made to measure?
Yes. Most of our mats can be made to measure and cut to the bespoke mat size you require. If you see a “custom size enquiry” form on the product page you are interested in, please fill in your details and input the size of mat you require and one of our team will then respond instantly with a quote. Can I order mats cut to a shape?
Yes. Some of our lift and lay mats can be cut to the shape you require. Please email your drawing through to This email address is being protected from spambots. How thick are your mats?
Each product page details the approximate thickness of each mat. Please note for washable mats the thickness is the ‘washed mat’ thickness. We also offer a search of mat type by mat thickness, please select the thickness you require and the selected mats shall show


What is the difference between PVC backing and nitrile rubber backing?
The premium nitrile rubber backing used on the back of mats is the most heavy duty and durable mat backing. It is also machine washable.

The PVC backing used is a cost effective alternative to the nitrile rubber backed mats.


Can I cancel my mat order?
If your mat order has not been despatched, then you may cancel. For bespoke sized mats or logo mat order, if the production process has not yet started you may cancel. We would need to confirm this in writing.


Can I return my mat?
You have the right to return your mat within seven working days following the receipt of your order, however, when you order any bespoke product your automatic right to return lapses.

To return your order please confirm in writing within seven working days from receipt of signing for the goods. Products must not be used and care must be taken. We shall then confirm in writing the returns procedure and address. The cost for returning your order will be borne by you the customer. We recommend returning any product by recorded delivery. Once we receive the order back we shall then issue a refund or replacement.


How secure are my payment details?
We use Sage pay to process card payments. Sage Pay is committed to providing you with the highest level of card data protection and secure payment processing and is recognised as the UK's most recommended gateway provider.


How secure are my personal details?
We do not pass any of your details onto any third party. Personal details are used by Mats Nationwide only for order processing and communication with you the customer.


Is my mat environmentally friendly?
Whenever possible our products come from sustainable resources and we endeavor to minimise waste from our operations and where possible re-use or re-cycle. We also control the level of harmful emissions wherever practicable.


How do I maintain, wash & dry my mat?
Care & maintenance guidelines are listed on each product page under ‘cleaning’.

How close are the colours on your website to the actual mat?
Care has been taken to ensure our website is as accurate as possible and the colour representation on the website and artwork visuals is as accurate as possible to the actual product, however due to the variations in computer screens and printers there may be a slight difference in colour and so we recommend where accuracy is essential to request fabric samples available on request.


If I have ordered a mat in the past and reorder in the same colour, will the mat colours match?
As with all textile products, variations in colour can be expected, fabric batches may also vary so we are unable to guarantee an exact match. We cannot guarantee that subsequent orders will match your original order.


What is your most absorbent mat?
The most effective absorbent mat we manufacture is our 'Premium Entrance Mat', the industry benchmark for optimum absorbent performance, durability and colour consistency. Absorbent mats are vital as not only do they lengthen the life of your expensive flooring, but long term they will reduce the amount of cleaning required, saving money and ensuring safety for pedestrian traffic.


Which mat is best for wet, wintry conditions such as heavy snow?
We would recommend a dual mat solution for this scenario. Our outdoor scraper entrance mat should be placed outside entrances to scrape shoes clean removing debris, snow and grit from shoes prior to entering your building. One of our absorbent, interior mats such as the premium entrance mat should then be placed in internal entrances to absorb moisture.


Which mat is best for dusty, dry conditions?

Which mats are best for areas with a lot of oil and grease?
Our kitchen mat comes with an oil, water and grease resistant non-slip surface ensuring that floors remain clean, dry and safe. This mat is also machine washable in a commercial capacity machine.
